About
I'm a researcher and communicator focused on media literacy and democratic participation — currently completing an MA in Media, Democracy & Human Rights at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden.
My MA research examines TikTok's engagement logic and the amplification of misogynistic content, arguing that rules aimed at content rather than algorithmic design — from self-regulation to the EU's Digital Services Act — keep falling short.
In 2025 I moved from Kansas City to Kalmar, a small city on Sweden's Baltic coast. I write an occasional newsletter about the move, KC to Kalmar, and when I'm not researching I'm usually in Photoshop, where I've spent more than a decade making images for the fun of it.
