Background
I'm a researcher and communicator focused on the intersection of media, law, and democratic participation. My work asks how platform design shapes public life — and whether existing governance frameworks are equipped to do anything about it.
My MA research at Linnaeus University centres on TikTok's algorithmic amplification of harmful content and the structural limits of regulatory responses like the EU's Digital Services Act. Before moving to Sweden, I studied communication at the University of Missouri–Kansas City, where I worked on civic campaigns including a voter registration drive for the League of Women Voters.
Outside research I've spent over a decade working in Adobe Photoshop — mostly for the pleasure of it. A few of those images are below.
Personal and experimental work in Adobe Photoshop — colour grading, layering, and visual composition.
