I'm a master's student at Linnaeus University in Kalmar, Sweden, studying media, democracy and human rights. The short version of what I work on: platforms decide what people see, and most of the law meant to govern them still treats that as a content problem when it's a design problem. My MA research so far has focused on TikTok's recommendation system and the limits of the Digital Services Act.

I grew up in Kansas City and did my BA in Communication Studies at UMKC. My coursework there included a voter registration PR campaign built around the League of Women Voters of Kansas City, and in Fall 2019 I interned with Loud Light registering voters. After graduating I worked in marketing for a couple of years, then moved to Sweden in 2025.

Outside of school I've spent over a decade in Photoshop, mostly for fun. A few of those images are below.
